About Me

About Me:

Hi! I'm Sarah. I am a 23-year old travel fanatic, language enthusiast, cheese fiend, and dyed-in-the wool francophile. But above all else I love to travel. Oh, I've mentioned that, haven't I? Well, now the secret is really out. On top of traveling, I love to write about traveling (one track mind), and now we find ourselves on my travel blog. For the past year I taught English in a high school in a very small town in France while also (you guessed it!) traveling, blogging, writing, and eating lots of cheese. My year spent in Alsace (and bopping around Europe) was an eye-opening and breathtaking adventure. One that I know I will remember for a lifetime.

While gone I kept this blog, all about the amazing places I saw and experienced, and the sometimes not-so-amazing places I saw and experienced. A few stories on life in the classroom as well, which I hope you will find to be sufficiently entertaining.

What I'm doing now:

My teaching position ended in April and after a bit of European traveling, I have finally come home. Just recently back to DC and preparing for my next move (across country to San Francisco come August), my posts probably won't be as frequent (let's be honest, who wants to hear about my days spent running errands, scouting Craigslist for apartments and cleaning up dog pee on the living room rug?), but I am going to attempt to maintain some sense of normalcy with my blogging.

In addition, you can also find some of my travel articles at http://www.lostgirlsworld.com.
